Bit like shock therapy then but not something you want to recall. One mighty big blow it was at the time, but we had flirted with it before, and that Season before relegation was as bad as anything I had seen in all my years. Think we averaged a slightly over a point a game.
But that Season in div1 gave us back some appetite for the following Season
It was one of the hottest, sunniest days of watching football I can recall, in a beautiful city. The coldest, miserable day was definitely at Oldham. Thought I’d freeze to death in their shanty standAnother shout out for Hereford. Cathedral prior to the match to see the Mappa Mundi for a culture fix and then on to Edgar Street.
I can remember Bernie being particularly ripe that day (god rest his soul)
Maddog and I got lost, I have no idea which station we ended up at (slightly the worse for wear), stood there for sometime before deciding there were no trains running on that line. Met Daggers for the first time.I enjoyed MK Dons apart from the walk from the ground to the railway station. Did not realise nearest station was Bletchley. Thanks Maxie.
