Would Rodgers ever dare...

His kicking causes us all sorts of problems as does his refusal to come for corners.

His shot stopping is probably the best in the league

KS does not 'refuse' to come for corners.
Defences for set pieces are organised well in advance to maximise their effieciency and introduce an organised approach.
KS is not over tall for a keeper (like for instance Kevin Poole) so that would be a factor. Teams do not have the larger defenders and the keeper all attacking the high stuff.
Defending corners takes various forms as corners themselves take a number of forms, long, short, inswinging, outswinging, those aimed close or distanced away from the six yard box, long and short deflections. It is crucial that those into the 'mix' are attacked in an organised way to reduce confusion.
To read the delivery and wait for the ball to arrive, which takes a second or two is too short a time to react in an ad hoc way.
Then there is the pre match decision to man mark or zone mark or a mix of both and in the event of the second which of the 'lines' is manned by which players. And a man on a post? If so which post? Or both posts? And who is/are the out ball men? What is learned from video evidence of opponents?
In all this, the constant different personnel in this area has not helped us...
