There weren’t too many suitors for him even as a free. The problem is when you’re running down your contract, I’d suggest you also switch off a bit. But his problem is he switched off for basically two years. Thought he was going in the summer of 22 and was going to a big CL side. He’s been found out. Played an awful lot of football in his first 10 years in the game and I can see Villa binning him in the next two years.
