I'd say he may well have offended a few fans, a strange thing for him to say, not really what i expected of him!
I shall continue to be mostly bored shitless, and get my proper football fix wherever i choose.
If/when he gets us promoted i will be delighted, and expect him to assemble a squad capable of maintaining a Premiership place.
But until then...🥱🥱🥱;)
 
My thoughts entirely. Perhaps he fancies a spell at Celtic as well. If he continues to have a pop at the fans and the club fails to get promoted, I am sure some fans won't forget in a hurry.

Having read all of the article I don't think that is what he said at all. Lazy reporting. He said Leeds and Plymouth were probably the best in the division at the counter attack style, which is not the way he wants to play.
 
I don't have any problem at all with him saying precisely what he thinks.
If he thinks the fans are cunts, let him say so. I happen to think he's probably an over-rated one-trick pony who'll end up looking fucking stupid at some point fairly soon. C'est la vie (or whatever that is in Itie).
 
His tactics appear to have been sussed . We pass the ball about for fun and have no strikers who
have any potency in front of goal The Kingpower crowd are revved up at the start but his football
gradually drains energy from the crowd It is a big mistake to pop at the crowd , Rodgers did that
after playing Chelsea at home a couple of years ago And we know how how that ended
The Watford game this week is a big game for his tactics , a bang average side who
should be beaten it is time he put up or shut up the stuff dished up this season at home has
been below average in the main against below average sides 😁
 
Ignore the headline..i don't read him saying "go and watch Leeds". He's basically saying that he has been upfront and honest about his style of football, so don't moan if you then choose to watch something you don't like.


He acknowledges some people want to see counter attacking / transition football...says thats not his way, and that if you want to see transitions then the best in the world for that are Liverpool.
He then says the two teams in our league who play that way are Leeds and Plymouth. He doesn't say "go and watch Leeds" (unless mercury are misquoting, which the headline certainly does).

I think he's been a bit clunky - understandable given English isn't his first language - but this 'outrage' feels like deliberate misinterpretation.

Over the years there's been plenty of them, because as a fan you want the best for your club and at the end of it all is gathering points in an entertaining way.
His way is points awareness regardless

When he said

I took that to mean if you want to see faster transition go and see Liverpool.
And in the Championship Leeds and Plymouth are best at it. They have hardly twisted his words.
