Get used to it or fuck off and support Leeds or Plymouth!

I personally enjoy that he says what he really feels rather than just giving media trained platitudes. The press conferences are a lot more enlightening than they were previously.
BFR used to lie about everything. NFP used to tell very little. Nobody knew what the fuck CFP was saying.
I totally understand why people aren’t getting into the football. It’s a very tough watch at times. I’m trying to buy into the bigger picture at the moment and I like to think if we do get promoted we’ll hopefully acquire some better players and this style will look a bit less of a tough watch.
Football is a subjective thing at times. Some of us go to be entertained, some us feel that the result is the only thing that counts.
I don’t agree with everything the man says but I respect that he’s not here to bullshit us.. he’s called out the shit atmosphere a couple of times (which it is) and he’s told it how it is in terms of the playing style.. he’s not so cowardly that he’ll do something to pander to a section of the crowd that don’t like a style of football that just won Man City a treble.
I personally think it’s a tad unfair to go into the whole ‘emperors new clothes’ chat at this stage.
Re-assessing all the time though.
Reality is we’ve just lost two of the tougher fixtures on the Championship calendar.
I projected us to have circa 28/29 points after 16 games. So we’re 10/11 points clear of that. I’m not thrilled with the style of play but over the course of the 16 games we’ve been the better side who created the greater chances in the majority of those games and we are top of the league. The last three performances have been very ordinary and we’ll have to see if that trend continues.
We’re all entitled to our views on this and those differences should be welcomed though.
Keeping the faith (ish).

Great Post Shane.

I try to explain to family and friends I am not going to ‘ the football ‘ as such when I go down the Citeh.
If I want to watch football I can switch on Sky or pop over the local park . I enjoy watching football when I don’t care who wins .
When I go to watch City I go to see us win . If we play well and lose I’miserable for 24h - 48 hours .
If we play dreadfully and win I’m happy till next defeat . It’s not about football
Sad , but true for me

He said after the match that he was ‘appy’ with the way we played especially in the 2nd half. When questioned by OPA on RL as to whether he was concerned that the crowd were getting edgy with the slowness at times he merely replied ‘ no I’m not bothered. This is the plan. There isn’t another’. I think he was about to add ‘they can all go and watch ………. but he stopped himself! So there. We now know.
Whilst half these players won’t be with us next season if we go up, I am concerned how this plan will work in the PL. The strikers are head and shoulders above what we have in this division. I never realised the standard was so awful.

I'm not the least bit happy with the style to me it's percentage football
........

Keep the ball at all cost, then try to sneak something out of a game, it's chesslike try to get you're opponent to make mistakes to give you an advantage is cautious stuff you are saying we ain't good enough to be free flowing so limit the opponents chances

Well I was down in the concourse on 32 minutes, I don’t recall many halves as dull in a long time
I've generally enjoyed the football more than most this season though the lack of quality in the division is just so apparent but that first half yesterday was a hard watch. We missed Winks movement (or at least I did!). And for all the lack of firepower up front I continue to be frustrated by poor decision making & execution (usually in trying to get it to the wide men or even when that is achieved what they do with it) when we do move it at pace.

Goals scored......31 and 2nd only to Ipswich.
3 more than the supposedly swashbuckling Leeds.
Least goals conceded.......1st with 10 against us and 7 goals less than the 2nd best defence.
Goal difference.......1st again with +21. That's 8 better than the next best.
Top of the league and 10 PTS clear of 3rd.
Most wins.........1st again with 14 and 3 more than the next best. 5 more than the amazing incredible barnstorming Leeds United.

Once again I accept the criticism of our slow play, but it's hardly a crisis from where we are is it?

Brauny l knew this answer would come but you compare the opposition earlier in the season to the last month where stronger more physical sides have made it harder to score and play this style

Ok, so of the current top 10 ( 9 possible fixtures)
we have played 7 of them.

P 7...... Won 5 Lost 2.

Leeds was disappointing, we started the game poorly and didn't do enough.
That aside our results against higher end teams stands up well imo

Another thing to consider is that I don't think anyone really knew how we were going to go this season.
Top players leaving, new ones coming in and a new manager. A lot of changes from last season.
It could be a case of being similar to how our season developed when we won the Prem.
Teams either didn't know our strengths in the early part of that season or didn't respect us enough.
This season as certainly been excellent in terms of results so far, but it could be now that like that Prem winning season the opposition are working out how to play against us.
We may have to adapt as the season rolls on like Ranieri did in 2016.
I still believe we have got different gears and enough quality to get through the inevitable small bad patches.
