If we all take a a deep hard look at things...

The football is exactly the same boring shite that Rodgers served up.. We needed a totally different direction from the play out from the back bollox... sick too death of it, we've been fucking awful.

He is playing percentage football as we lack an attacking force, a driving midfield without an attack opens the team up giving space to the opposition .......l think that is the reason but this type of play can be expanded with experience and quicker movement get another winger and a quick centre forward
we will be a really good side.

Just my thinking thats all

Not sure if you've watched how teams like Man City, Barcelona etc play these days?
I think you could argue all the more reason to be different. However, I'm with Kendal on this and to me comparisons with earlier seasons where the passing was largely driven by fear that slowly paralysed the team (under both Puel & latterly Rodgers) seem to me to be largely superficial at this point.

Hoping this casadei has something about him in midfield because Huddersfield left a huge gaping hole in the middle of the park the whole of Saturday afternoon & neither winks or Kdh could take advantage of it.

Adopts Rod Serling voice: imagine if you will, a DM who can take the ball off a center back and pass it forwards.

It could go either way. We could get a couple more players who click, more minutes under belts, and we are unstoppable. Then again, we could continue in the same vein, get punished for more of the myriad mistakes, heads drop, and we flop. Ive always feared that he would copy Guardiola’s methods word for word, and so far, that seems to be the case. Ref the trendy new tactic of Ricardo moving into midfield when we are in possession, going three at the back, full on copy cat. We did need to take a punt on a new manager, its our only option. Its soul destroying to watch, but we have to give him time.

Not sure if you've noticed that Man City have Ederson, Rodri, DeBruyne, and Haaland, whilst we have, Vestergaard, Soumare, Ndidi and Ieanacho.
Aren't those 4 looking at being moved on? According to unconfirmed rumours anyway. To be replaced by players who can play how he wants them to. I know it's a different division but I don't see why we have to play like the teams in this division.

But why not Astley its a workable system providing you get the players to be more dligent in their movements and passing because thats all it is, quick movenent and accurate passing allied to a decent forward line we actually could want someone in the like Maddison mould for seeing open spaces and also to hold the ball when needed

Our sole aim this season is to get out of this godforsaken division at the first attempt. Maresca is embedding the best style of play to help us achieve that. We’ve won both games and we will get better as the players get used to the style. And still people are moaning…

Best just to lump it forward because we’ve got the players that can play that way.

Since our last time in this division, even things at this level have changed.

Charles Hughes would be proud.

Hear hear Clappers! Other than that 'The Board's No. 1 Cunt' is saying nothing...

Let’s see where we are on September 1st. We’re very much a work in progress right now, but at that point we’ll know what we have to work with. Hopefully, four more to come in, and at least 5 to go out. I think we’ll be a very different proposition then.

Why godforsaken?

The standard of football mainly.
Pot calling kettle. Not been that exciting ourselves. It's disappointing that we find ourselves there but it's not that bad a division. Some 15 or so clubs who have been in the PL, modern grounds and good attendances - 5th highest in Europe. Not like the old days of having to visit dumps like Luton, Oxford, Cambridge, etc. when we were in the second tier.
