Don't forget to split out the free to view from pay to view
Thanks in advance

23 million watched the men's semi-final between England and Sweden in 2021, for the women to get nearly 50 % of that is a stunning turnaround in viewing figures compared to a few years back. I'd have thought that more than supported the 'game the BBC are trying to play'.If you want to blur the lines between one-off flagship events and week-in, week-out support, fine. But that's the same game that the BBC are trying to play.
Mincing about to terrible pop is popular once a year and draws a big TV audience, but you wouldn't equate Eurovision to proper music, or would you?
How many will be watching “top level” ladies football in January when it’s cold and pissing down
Arsenal Ladies average 17501 per game so they must have some fucking huge attendances when the weather is decent if they only get 'hundred-odd as last winter' when it's cold and pissing down'.The same hundred-odd a time as last winter, I'd guess.
Depends on what you think 'proper music' is. Music is very much down to people's personal tastes and I've learnt not to assume that I know better than others. Bit boring if we all liked the same stuff and it would make getting tickets somewhat difficult. If you want to blur the lines between one-off flagship events and week-in, week-out support, fine. But that's the same game that the BBC are trying to play.

Don't Arsenal ST holders get into the birds kick around for free though? False economy.Arsenal Ladies average 17501 per game so they must have some fucking huge attendances when the weather is decent if they only get 'hundred-odd as last winter' when it's cold and pissing down'.
So you missed the 'I guess' bit when cherry-picking probably one of 2 or 3 stats that back up your agreeing that a ladies' World Cup win would be the equal of a men's win. Well done.Arsenal Ladies average 17501 per game so they must have some fucking huge attendances when the weather is decent if they only get 'hundred-odd as last winter' when it's cold and pissing down'.
Makes me think that the BBC has an agenda that's different to simply reflecting the reality of sports' profile, interest, fans, etc. But great minds can think differently2
Makes me smile when they put women's (or the sweaties) results after PL and before EFL
Fuck me, are you going to go through every fucking post phrase by phrase?Leading to what?
What, replying to something in a conversation? How silly of me.Fuck me, are you going to go through every fucking post phrase by phrase?
It's showing football played by women. What a fuckin stupid idea. Nip it in the bud.You know, things like phone ST tickets, or ID for ticket collection, or Chelsea winning the PL for us – ideas which people choose to express an opinion on. And for me, fucking stupid ideas that often need to be nipped in the bud before they gain traction and become 'the truth'.
I didn’t agree that, I was pointing out the fact that a lot of people watch women’s football on the telly and some even attend live games in the middle of winter. So you missed the 'I guess' bit when cherry-picking probably one of 2 or 3 stats that back up your agreeing that a ladies' World Cup win would be the equal of a men's win.
The claim was that womens football is more popular that cricket.Do people only count if they’ve paid to view? Even for you that’s somewhat bizarre.
Get you two, liking each others posts all the time. Oooh, friends...What, replying to something in a conversation? How silly of me.

Because I'm meant to be working, and don't have time to endlessly check the web.Why ‘guess’ you’re on the internet so it’s easy enough to check and not make yourself appear to be not such a great mind.
I know from someone who volunteers for Arsenal Ladies that they have to get there early on a match day and carry all those manikins to the seats just to support the BBC plot to convince the hard of thinking that Wimmins footy is more popular than they think it is.Arsenal vs Totteringham wsl images look pretty packed to me. Bloody FA and BBC must have forced them all to sit on the the same side of the pitch. View attachment 5998View attachment 5998
I would have liked this but it would have brought on comments about ‘friends’.I know from someone who volunteers for Arsenal Ladies that they have to get there early on a match day and carry all those manikins to the seats just to support the BBC plot to convince the hard of thinking that Wimmins footy is more popular than they think it is.
how do you know?11 million people watched the semi final in the UK. That seems like a good level of interest/relevance tp people.
Now I expect a few will claim 'well they would say that'.
Blurred lines..Leading to what?
Bit obsessed with all this ain’t yer?No, no it’s fucking not. Stop trying to pretend that woman’s football is any way shape or form attached to the history of mens football. In fact its not men’s football, it’s just football, just like it always has been. There’s football, and then there’s women football.
Do you mean the Women’s or mens cricket? In this country Wimmins footy is more popular in terms of TV viewing than cricket, albeit clearly not on this board.
So I’m in the 10%. ReassuringAbout 8 years ago an aged Roofer said to me
“ 90% of what you read on Bentleys is absolute bollocks “
It’s nice to see that this tradition is still with us
Marvellous, love it

Agree with most of that except the bit about the BBC being the arm of the state. More accurately the BBC has become the woke arm of the liberal left who go out their way to report negativity on anything the Government says or does with, as you say, their consistent stream of lies (and distortions).Red Pill anyone.
All professional sport is a commodity that is packaged by the 'rights' owners and sold to the public for money, simple as that.
Of course the 'rights' owners market and hype their product in order to maximise their income, that is accepted, we, the punters usually have a choice to buy the product or not.
For example I have the full Sky sports package, I really only watch football, cricket and top level rugby union, I may occasionally watch a 'big event', the Ryder cup for example, but the umpteen other sports available I ignore. I have it because I deem what I pay to be fair for what I watch, simple. This works for any sports product on any platform.
Except for the BBC. They are the state broadcaster funded by the taxpayer, ie we have no choice, you can still be sent to prison for non payment of the Telly tax. Their funding, though limited, is secure so the usual commercial pressures do not apply which has, in my view, turned the BBC into the propaganda arm of the state, who they support in all matters.
I believe the BBC has/had a Charter to ensure fairness and balance but given the selective nature of the programs and the consistent stream of lies, this no longer appears to apply.
So to sum up, will I watch the girls tomorrow, perhaps. I shall be preparing and cooking lunch so may well have it on in the background for the actual game, but all the punditry and other bollocks will be muted. Bear in mind that I have already paid for this, so whether I watch or not is irrelevant to all parties
