Its not. Up until the first lockdown, we were smashing it. A joy to watch. Afterwards, we started badly and never got going again. We’ve all disscussed it times without number, slow build up, negative passing, and shambolic defensive tactics, that thankfully seem to have been helped by a MOTD pundit. Buck has hit his usual plateau. It isnt just about the regularity of defeats, its the manner of them. Either simply outplayed, outfought and out muscled, or pathetic collapses from winning positions. Dont throw The FA Cup win back at me, we were lucky in the final. If I were Top, Brendan would have signed his own redundancy with this interview. The problem this season is simply injuries. Not just the amount but the length of them. We’ve had multiple players out for weeks and months. Not just a niggle. As we know the defence is the most affected. With even just a couple out I’d suggest we’d have been in a far better position. We’ve also played between 6-10 more than anyone outside the BCC’s and West Ham. Not making excuses but it started in August before the season even began. Fou Fou out for months, Evans out for 8 weeks, JJ still out for another 5 months, Castagne out for 4 weeks. Ricky ?? We’ve never got off the starting line. As someone said the other day. Get to 40 points and just get everyone fit for next season.
Surely even you can see the absence of logic in your post..........Players aren't stupid,
Yes, wow if you like but a cheeky nifty says we won’t come fifthReally wow
with our full squad fit, we cover most of Rodgers's deficiencies. Hes just not a good manager. Hes cost us 5 points in 2 games this week. Some managers need and want money to try to gain success. Whilst we do so spend a certain amount of money on players we’ll never have the budget of any of the top 6 teams. Other teams will also have times when they spend money trying to grab some success, Villa for example.
We have our way of working and it does work for us. It’s caught up with us due to the injuries we have had all season, and I understand this must be frustrating for Rodgers, but I believe with a full strength team and squad it’s the best we’ve ever had and we have enough to continue to mix it with the big 6.
If he wants to concede defeat then Rodgers you may as well go.
Absolutely spot on. As savage used to say, O’Neill used to make him feel like the best player that was walking onto that pitch.Disagree Oadlad, generally players aren't the sharpest knives in the draw and are easily influenced by the managers mantra so a little more positivity wouldn't go amiss !
…..even get past F0restWe won’t…..
A win against forest would be a good day out for us. However It would have no bearing on the confidence of the players due to forest being no where near the standard of a premier league side.Currently 10th best team in the country.
Six of those we should be behind. We are behind a further 3 and ahead of probably about 25 clubs who all have our aspirations.
No doubt this is a struggle, and when Liverpool do the expected against us, I am sure there will be a few glances over the shoulder. This season as been rather naff compared with previous, but when you set the bar so high then it's always going to happen.
On the plus side we can forget the league Euro route, and qualify through the village cup, and a good performance against Florist could do wonders for a pick me up.
Onwards we go.

Winning 4-0 away at them will have no influence on the following Liverpool game.
We‘ve played three games in twenty six days! Why are they “worn out”?Sorry but the players are worn out at the moment and despite what is said on here, they know it and they know why.
They might not be near the standard of a premier league side, but, don’t forget they knocked the Arse out of this cup.A win against forest would be a good day out for us.
