It is their conditions and they are used to it. Most Indian pitches outside the top level are like this, they grow up on it.

Natural variations from country to country is fine, very much part of the game and no problem with that, but taking it to extremes just ruins the game. They can do better and should be required to do so, this pitch is rubbish, England will do well to take this into the fourth day.

Channel 4 have paid millions to show this, they should ask for a refund.
 
Have long thought that the toss should be scrapped with the away team choosing what they want to do every time as the pitches are (virtually) always prepared to suit the home side anyway.
 
3 very quick wickets this morning . Just a shame we didn’t bowl like this in the 1st innings and mad a proper game of it !
 
Well that was a disappointment. On now to Ahmedabad to see what that brings in the second largest stadium in the world.
 
Let’s hope that India don’t roll that pitch up and take it around the country with them...
 
You expect slow turning wickets in India, part of what playing test cricket away from home is all about.

But that was a disgrace, the game was over and done with half way through the second day, not even a contest.

Waste of time watching.

It’s just been totally rebuilt. It’s the second largest stadium in the world and the largest cricket stadium and they're allowing 50% capacity in. I’m not sure that’s exactly safe with Covid but hey it’ll certainly help the Indian team and will probably hinder us.

I’ll have it on today but I won’t be able to watch much during the working day.
